Have you seen "The Man With Bogart's Face"?

Plot Summary for
The Man with Bogart's Face(1980)
A man with a fixation on Humphrey Bogart gets plastic surgery to make him look exactly like Bogart. Then he changes his name to Sam Marlowe (after Sam Spade and Phillip Marlowe, two of Bogart's most famous characters), hires a ditzy blonde secretary, and opens up a detective agency. His first case is one that would do Bogie proud.

I saw it on TV in the early 80's. Not a bad homage. And the star Robert Sacchi really has the Bogart look and sound down pat. Incidentally, whereas Sam Marlowe needed plastic surgery to pull off his obsession, Sacchi was given Bogie's looks by nature. Only thing he needed to do was learn the voice and the mannerisms.

: Abe Vigoda! John Houseman! Together!
: Neil Simon's "The Cheap Detective" (1978), starring Peter Falk and a bunch of whacky comedians. Satire of "Maltese Falcon", "Casablanca", and "Big Sleep" all rolled into one silly picture. Set in 1939 San Francisco. Features Dom DeLuise! Madeline Kahn! Eileen Brennan! Sid Caesar!
: Yeah, there's a bunch of fedoras, shweetheart. Now get out.
