If the script isn't even done (allegedly) then they wouldn't be in the process of hiring actors for a little while, and Connery is full of shit, or perhaps someone told him this and he ran with it. For shame.

I'm pretty sure that Ford would drop out as soon as Spileberg did, so take it with a grain of salt.
