: Hello...? Is there anyone here anymore?

: Well, if there is, did you all see this Yahoo story? http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=585&ncid=585&e=1&u=/nm/20040817/sc_nm/peru_ruins_dc

: It's really fascinating. Archeologists trekked days through the jungle deep into the Amazon and found a lost 39 square mile city from an ancient, pre-Inca civilization! I don't know how something that big can be lost in this day of satellite surveillance! The jungle must have really grown in over it. The find was also notable for gravesites containing mummies with perfectly preserved teeth. It's pretty exciting to think that there still are places like this on Earth waiting to be discovered. The story sounds very Indyish, though there was no mention of any traps!

Yep, at least I drop by now and again. Good to 'see' you again, Brisco! They had a special on the Discovery Channel not to long ago, and were talking about the finds they're making using remote imaging, and were astonished at the city and temple they had found deep in the jungle that even the locals had no idea existed. Neat stuff! Nobody was wearing fedoras in the special, though. Mostly ball caps and bandanas. Sheesh! (grins) Regards. Michaelson
