My point was not that Indy couldn't be competitive, just that every date is rapidly filling up. As a result, you would think we would be hearing some type of confirmation soon.

Memorial Day is already taken, and it wouldn't make sense to open Indy 4 and Pirates 3 on the same day. The demographics are too similar.

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing it go up against Transformers. I know that film is also long-awaited, but it definitely appeals to a smaller demographic than Indy. I mean, I just don't see many women or older audiences getting that excited over a movie about some toys from the 80's! :D
