It couldn't have anything to do with Memphis Belle, as that movie came out long after Last Crusade. I think what really happened was that this woman might have been involved, just not to the degree she claimed to the authors of that flight jacket book. Deborah Nadoolman is listed as the costume designer of Raiders of the Lost Ark, rather prominently I might add. But costume designers sometimes procure, not design.
