Gee, I personally do not have an MkVII bag, (i wish!!:( but I would glue the flap (the one that snaps up and down [?]) to the snap already in the "button", let it dry, then proceed to unsnap it. I'm sorry if this makes know sense whatsoever, since I kind of don't have a clue what I'm talking about, but I really wanted to help a predicament on Indy. (I get so melancholy when an Indy artifact of mine falls apart. -I go into periods of mourning until It's fixed.) :-)
