There was a show last night where the commentator traveled through the lands of the Chachapoyas. He enliseted the help of a local archaeologist and explored a number of caves located on the side of cliffs. He used the expression "an Indiana Jones" type of adventure a number of times. To get to the caves, he rappelled a 1000 ft down the side of the cliff. The burial chamber had a number of bones, etc. They found at least two pieces of pottery which they seemed to think was significant, since they were Inca, and identified patterns of trade. It seems that everyone wants to be Indiana Jones, although he didn't look much like him.
