The secret service probably knew about him from the time when he was younger in WW1 (probably ;-)

I think that shot of Indy in his office is really good. It shows that Indy really doesn't belong in that environment (that's why he appears so small in the shot mise-en-scene fans (forgive me if that's spelt wrong)).

By the way - Indy's secretary is none other than Rosa from Eastenders UK Indyfans - US fans may know her as a Dr Who assistant (don't know which one not a fan).
