In Reply to: OK, Patterson...compare the color, weight, and the drape of the USWings Rooskin to the USWings Goat...sell me the rooskin, if you can! (NM) posted by The Spatsman on November 17, 2000 at 16:19:09:

While I do not own a full size US Wings in goat, my sone has the Lil' Indy in goat. I've also handled enough goat, that I think I can speak to this.

The roo skin is much lighter in weight than the goat - lighter even than the lambskin. It is much smoother a compared to goatskin, and has a very singular texture to it, i.e. very cool looking range marks. It is lighter in color, having a vintage pigment that is very durable. Between it and my FS deer - they will be my favorites. Comparing them would be apples and oranges.

The roo is very nice stuff. It is the most durable leather we have available for these jackets, and David Hack went to a lot of trouble to be able to offer it.

Hope this helps!

Cheers!

Patterson
