Nature of deleted scene...

I remember hearing about a scene filmed in "Raiders" that didn't make the final cut. It wasn't really 'deleted,' it was more like a silly oversight concerning the cameras f-stop adjustment (or whatever) rendering it unusable. I think it was a fight that grew out of the scene with the Nazis chowing down for lunch at the excavation. I mention it because that short scene of Sallah saying "More water! Yes, I'll get you more water!" seems extraneous and doesn't "go anywhere." Does anyone know about the following "missing scene"?
