Indy's Bag

If I were to purchase a gas mask bag and bought the leather straps from Noel Howard of MBA Costumes, how difficult would it be to place the straps on the bag? Anyone with experience out there on this?
Or would I be better off buying the bag from Noel with the leather straps already in place? Thanks!
