: Now I understand that INEXPLAINABLE some magic indeed happened in the
: Trilogy. However, the magic in TOD could be explained to some extent:
: 1) of Kali: since the Thugee INDEED existed in India, and indeed
: would excite themselves with some sort of potion, it must have been
: an extract of a natural hallucinogen/stimulant/whatever, probably
: herbal in nature.
: 2) The HEART RIPPIN' scene: I don't remember the movies by heart, but
: in the second such scene (I think with Indy present, Mola Ram performs
: the same moves, but when he turns around and shows his clenched paw to
: the crowd, its plain empty: HYPNOSIS (en masse?)could be the answer
: 3) "You betrayed Shiva" part... harder, but still!: the stones
: exert flames, but when Indy gets one, nothing happens. Could be Mola
: Ram is so hypnotized/trippin' on "Kali's " etc. that the reminder
: of his betrayal induces the vision of the stones' burning his hand.
: 4) And the only one kinda impossible to explain: the scene in the
: underground Temple; the stones shining from inside... let those who
: know more attempt this one, just like the optical sensor darts in
: Raiders.
:

HA!! I wrote a whole post trying to explain the same things... but I quickly scrapped it when I thought of the voodoo doll... No other choice but to except the magic. :)
