Not only was it funny and enjoyable; I have to say it was the best single satire of Casablanca, Maltese Falcon*, and Big Sleep yet produced that featured Abe Vigoda. But heck, I'd watch almost anything with Abe Vigoda. Except "Fish".
* "The Black Bird" starring "Uncle" George Segal was kind of embarassing dreck, but ok in a "really bad attempt to cash in on a Hollywood legend, but still fun in a 'I can't believe this is so bad' way" way. Set in the 1970s as a "sequel" to MF, it featured Wilmer the Kid and Effie Perrin from the 1942 picture.
It was sad and lame-o, but a guilty campy pleasure. Kind of like way too much of TOD...
