Well, I think you're co-workers must not be big movie fans.
According to Amazon, Raiders is the #5 most requested DVD that has not been released.
Film geeks on Slashdot.org seemed excited.
USA Today put Indy's face on the front page to promote it's Life section, which had the tiny DVD announcement article. Presumably they thought Indy would sell papers.
