Well, they didn't exactly need any sleight of hand to sell The Godfather as still being relevant, and you could actually make a stronger case there. (How many kids bought that set?)

The bottom line is that the public is going to buy whatever is made available to them. Even the disappointing 'blockbusters' end up as best sellers once they hit dvd.
