      You're right - it would've been difficult to get away with casting Al Pacino as a character whose last name was Jones.
      Still, it would have been interesting to see Al Pacino's inflections when speaking as Indiana Jones, such as: "It's not the years... it's THE MILEAGE!!!" (he probably would've needed a throat lozenge after every scene filmed).
