Just curious here . . .
What do you think Marion was planning on doin' when she told Indy to come back the next day?
- Was she just enjoying being in control and playing the role in calling the shots?
- Maybe she planned on taking off with the money since she felt screwed over by Indy and she was gettin' him back.
I go back and forth with it each time I watch the movie. But I think with the look that Indy gives before leaving the bar (the very cool shot where his eye is the only thing not in shadow) he figures her for leaving. Yes, he probably stuck around to protect her just in case Hitler's goons show up but I think he staked the place out to make sure she didn't bolt too.
Or maybe I'm bored and trying to make something out of nothing. What do y'all think?
