I think it would be a worthwhile endeavour, and I'm sure many websites would post it in their download sections.

The trouble, partially, is that I'm sure many people would want a hi-res version for viewing/archiving, and it's tricky to get the file compressed enough without affecting quality. I know this because I attempted the very same thing a few years back, and by the time I got the file size small enough for streaming, it was so diminished in quality that it was hardly worth it.

At any rate, I vote you go for it, and I'm positive that I'm not alone.
