Well, here's some classics, you could do some chronological thing where you watched where lots of these films derived their influences...

• Flash Gordon (1980’s)
• Stagecoach
• The Adventures of Robin Hood (Errol Flynn)
• The Treasure of the Sierra Madre
• Where Eagles Dare
• Lawrence of Arabia
• The Maltese Falcon

The list goes ever on and on...
