Battered old Miller ain't so battered anymore

Just go my hat back yesterday. I had it streatched and blocked back to an open crown. The crown was stretched so the sides are parallel again. The western store sure added a lot of stiffener, it feels like cardboard. I guess they're used to western hats which are very stiff. The surface of the felt is a little rough because of the stiffener. I'm sure it'll go away in a week or two. I took the factory ribbon and disassembled the bow and ironed the ribbon out flat, flipped it over and made a new double bow and put it back on the hat. The hat looks like new! All I need now is a new satin lining and a sweat band. The interior is gutted.
