Release Date?

But seriously, if they are planning to shoot this year, I assume they are eyeing a 2007 release date. (This would also coincide with the upcoming videogame, which is said to loosely serve as a tie-in.)

But 2007's summer season is already looking quite crowded- wouldn't they have to commit to a date pretty soon? In May alone we will have Spiderman 3, Shrek 3, and Pirates of the Caribbean 3 on Memorial Day.

It looks as though June may be the best option at this point, with Transformers already having a claim to the Fourth of July.
