Lauren's Quest chapter 8 and a very short chapter since I gotta go to bed.(Written by both me and Tess')

Chapter 8
Itís the middle of the night, and Lauren woke up in cold sweat. She got up from her bed, put on her robe, and walked out onto the terrace. She breathe in the air, and tried to shake off the nightmare she was having since she was a kid ñ being trapped in a roomful of people, taunting her of her dreams. She squeezed her eyes shut and thought, Itís just a dream.
The scene at the restaurant and the flat unnerved her a bit. Her instincts were on full alert, ready for anything. Her mother called it the adventurer instinct. Laurie, your father is the same way. It wouldnít surprise me if you became like him, she said to her when Lauren was ten.
Lauren smiled weakly as she walked back into the flat. She looked at the door and saw it opened slightly. Thatís strange. I know I locked it. She crept to shut the door silently and to the table by the door. Quietly, she took out a handgun and a box of bullets from drawer. Loading the gun up, she looked around and noticed a light creeping from the kitchen door. She took a deep breath, held the gun in front of her, and stormed into the kitchen, ìHold it right there,î she said to the tall, dark man with his back to her. The man turned around to reveal a slightly tan skinned man in his late twenties. He was muscular and not too scared of Lauren and her gun. He studied her for a moment before unpredictably back handing her hard enough to send her to the floor! The gun flew out of her hands and before she could go after it the man grabbed her and put his hand over her mouth.

Anthony woke up early in the morning and walked to the kitchen to see a little blood and a ransom note.
ìNo this canít be happening!î He exclaimed to himself.
The note had instruction and directions on where to go and what the ransom itself was. Someone then knocked at the door. He couldnít help but to run and open it hoping it was Lauren! As he opened it he seen a slightly old man, an Asian, and two other guys which resembled the old man.
ìWho are you?î Asked Anthony.
ìIím Doctor Indiana Jones, these are my two sons Eric and Michael, and this is Mr. Round.î
Shorty pointed to himself. ìShort Round!î
Anthony welcomed them in.
ìAre you relatives to Lauren?î
ìIím her father and these are her two brothers.î Indy replied.
ìWell Lauren has been kidnapped and put up for ransom!î Anthony said which put fear and shock into all four men.
