Well this is how it goes for us 12ers in HIgh School up in Canada this year. Thursday night is what we call "Convocation" where we all wear our gown and cap and get a handshake and diploma. Friday noght is Grad night where there is a banquet (prom is included, ya see we're too cheap to have graduation AND prom night, we gotta put the 2 together. :) and after that is called "Safe Grad" where we all go to an open field and everyone gets drunk or something. I'm going to Convocation but I'm altogether skipping the stupid "Grad Night" thing. I see it as a big waste of time. I don't want to waste hundreds of dollars renting a tux, buying grad tickets ($40 each) and going to "Safe Grad" for $20. Grad means little too nothing to me and getting drunk at Safe Grad is not my idea of having a fun time (somehow throwing up after consuming so much liquor doesn't sound too fun, no thanks). I'm sorry for venting like this since it has nothing to do with fan fiction, but I'm just getting so tired of hearing everyone talking about grad and how great it's gonna be and hearing my friends just get all baffled going "Why the heck aren't you going to grad?" all the time. I want this crap to end! Oops, I've said too much.
