: We have to remember, people, that we are on a collaborative story here. And that means our goal is ultimately the understanding and the polishing of the story we are making. People have their traits and personalities on the story so that otehr people would understand them better: why they are like that, how they are, and what drives them. People do NOT change spontaneously from one side to the next. As I was reading the fan-fiction, I can't help but wonder how Aragorn, who's been a valuable and trusted member of the organization for many years and who have endured blood, sweat and tears with his teammates, could just flip over and turn to the other side just like that. It's not possible. There's no driving force. He is made of a sterner stuff, and is more principled, to just change his views.
: This is not a criticism. Just an observation.
: Till then.

Boy, you sure outlined the lack of motivation for Aragorn turning to the neutral side (which is what we are). This was a plot device my brother and I have long been thinking up and was on my wish list of what I want to see happen in the story. We initially were going to have it on the chapter when James escapes from the clutches of Indy only to be found by Aragorn. He was going to reveal himself a betrayer to Micah's agents. But it was thrown out for the sake of a funny idea instead. You know, "See you in hell, butterball!!" and then shoots poor James with a tranquilizer. But it was something looming in the back of my head all along for this story and I just had to put it in for my own purposes of having my best buddy on the Net join forces. I know it may seem contrived, but I'm hoping it won't be when Deirdre takes a stab at it.
