Brandon, I normally recommend an 8ft bullwhip for someone just starting out as it is easily manageable and is well suited for general use. You can go with the 10ft bullwhip, however they are little more difficult to work with for beginners. Also depending upon what you will be wrapping, wider targets require a longer whip.
