: I read down below Yoda Boy's question about Sallah's Sea Shanties. Well, actually they are from a Gilbert & Sullivan operetta called HMS Pinafore. I located a copy of it at http://math.idbsu.edu/gas/pinafore/libretto.txt
: I'm not a buff or anything, it's just that I saw my sister in a performance, and when I heard the familiar words..."I am a monarch of the sea..." I had this great revelation.
: Later all.

Thanks for the info! For anyone who's curious, the lyrics are:
I am the monarch of the sea,
The ruler of the Queen's Navee,
Whose praise Great Britain loudly chants.
and:
A British tar is a soaring soul,
As free as a mountain bird,
His energetic fist should be ready to resist
A dictatorial word.
His nose should pant and his lip should curl,
His cheeks should flame and his brow should furl,
His bosom should heave and his heart should glow,
And his fist be ever ready for a knock-down blow.
CHORUS. -- His nose should pant, etc.
His eyes should flash with an inborn fire,
His brow with scorn be wrung;
He never should bow down to a domineering frown,
Or the tang of a tyrant tongue.
His foot should stamp and his throat should growl,
His hair should twirl and his face should scowl;
His eyes should flash and his breast protrude,
And this should be his customary attitude.
Now when you find out that "they're digging in the wrong place" or you get kissed by a beautiful woman you can break into song just like Sallah! :-)
H.M.S. Pinafore is playing in Edmonton right now so maybe I'll have to go check it out.
