Why? (Fate of Atlantis)

Hey guys! Could somebody tell me why songs in Fate of Atlantis CD are different than the same in the first version on 3.5'' floppys? Is perhaps a problem of my sound card? (I've got a Sound Blaster Live). Please, answer me this! THE FLOOR'S IS ON FIRE!
