Yes, the hat is different. If you look closely, you'll notice that the bow on the ribbon is on the opposite side. His jacket is obviously different, too. Anyway, one would expect styles to change from 1912 to the 1930s, so I think it makes sense that Indy copied his "look" from this guy, but not in an exact way. (Unlike us he didn't have the "Fedorafan.com forum" to find out where to get exactly the right jacket! :)
