Yep, it's an early Toht. It was to be symbolic of how technologicaly advanced the German's (NAZIs) really were. The only aspect of this that made it to the movie was the flying wing aeroplane.

I'm glad they didn't push the technology stuff too much. I think they got an nice balance between reality and fantasy.
