Interesting Connection to LC Church/Library

I was flipping through the channels and just caught a bit of a David Lean movie called "Summertime" (1955) on the Bravo channel. Anyway, there is this scene in Venice where Katherine Hepburn falls into a canal and it takes place right in front of San Barnaba, the Church used as a library in The Last Crusade! I wonder... did this influence Spielberg's decision of choosing a place to film since Spielberg is a fan of some of Lean's films?
