I totally agree, Abner.

The only thing I can say is that in some scenes (Raiders - Indy entering Clipper plane) looks black-ish.

I've got the HJ version and it's dark brown. On most good daylight shots of Indy from all three movies that band is brown.

If it were a real black ribbon you would notice a stark contrast, I'm sure.

If anyone else has any points abut this, they'll be welcome.
