: I think the only way a 9mm would go through three guys would be if the bullet didn't hit any bones or metal parts of uniforms (buckles, buttons, etc.), and if that were the case it probably wouldn't have killed any of them so quickly let alone all three. However, I believe the humor of the scene regarding Indy's reaction is more important than the accuracy of the ballistics involved, and that goes for the Raiders scene as well.

Also depends on what KIND of bullet is loaded in that particular round. Full metal jacket? Hollow point? Lead? Lots of things to consider in bullet performance. Regards. Michaelson
