: As big an Indy fan as I am, I wouldn't so much as open the script if the genuine thing fell into my lap. I don't want to spoil it for myself. Is there anyone else out there who feels the same way? Everyone seems to be scrambling to get hold of the real deal? Why?
For me, it's not something that would 'spoil' the film. I knew the story of the other Indy films before watching them, so what's the big deal? When I put in a tape to watch one, I already know them each by heart, but I still enjoy them a lot! It's easy to think that knowledge of a script will somehow 'spoil' you for the film, but there are really a lot of things that just don't come through in a script. Most of the thrills come from experiencing the real live film, not simply from knowing the plot.
