Yet another topic! Perhaps the Fire Genius is going to play along and actually add something to the conversation. And I don't know where he got that Marion was about 30 in Raiders, she wasn't that old. Read the novel, there is more about their history together. Too much heat on the brain from a fire will destroy your mind. So lets all be careful, when we are fake Fire-fighting. You've seen the results yourself.
: Jones said it was 10 years ago. Marion is about 30 in Raiders. So she was 20 when it ended. Young, but certainly not a child- not legally anyways.:
: : Nice point, Michaelson. Also, might I add this:
: : How can we be really so sure what Marion meant when she said she was a "child"? That word can be taken as anything...a real child (in the sense of the age), a child in the sense of the intellectual level of the person, or maybe, she just considers herself a child, even though she might already pass for an adult! We know how people would sometimes say "my child" to grown-ups when they try to console them. And in that matter, how can we really be so sure as to the age of Indy and Marion when they had their tryst? Sure, it's not being said in the book, but remember that Marion was mentioned in one of the books (the Genesis Deluge)....or at least, a namesake (but I'm willing to bet that that's the same person). Underaged? I don't know. Indy may be roguish and all, but he's not a pedophile.
: : Till then.
