Does anybody know what happened to IJ & the infernal Machine game?

I feel like I´ve been waiting for ages for this game,
It originally had a release date of Winter 99 but I have
not heard anything new for months now. The lucasarts homepage
is not of any help. I hope they have not postphoned because
of Star Wars: the phantom menace. Can anybody tell me what the
hell is going on?
