I'm not a lawyer, but it seems to me that Lucasfilm Licensing isn't entirely correct here.

The jacket itself has no Indiana Jones logo on it and the fact is that Wested is making jackets from the pattern that was used to make the original jackets. Surely, Lucasfilm doesn't own the pattern.

It seems like this parallels a recent case where Playboy sued a Playmate of the Year for saying she was a Playmate of the Year on her web page. The judge found for the woman, because that was simply a fact and she wasn't infringing on their trademarked phrase, "Playmate of the Year."

I hope that Wested comes through this ok, and the jackets keep coming.
