I related what "Hannibal King's Trusty Sidekick" posted yesterday to the author himself, and received this response:

few episodes. Apologies for the misunderstanding; the story will indeed be finished. Also, Hannibal King doesn't have any "trusty sidekicks" - he works alone. *
