I have the hint book you depicted.

Inside, you get:

• Q&A type setup with clues of varying difficulty to help you solve the puzzles.
• Some maps of the Catacombs, Airship, Castle, etc...
• Dialogue paths to overcome foes.

From memory, that's it.

The Q&A is encoded much like the translation table. It comes with a red gel to help you read it.
