Back in the early seventies there was a doll called Action Jackson (we didn't call them action figures back then, just dolls)
Action Jackson was shorter than G.I. Joe (maybe eight inches tall) and he came in a dark-blue jumpsuit. You could also get other accessories for him like a soldier uniform or cowboy clothes and a horse or motorcycle.
My brother and I must have had six or seven of these dolls over the years and used to go on all kinds of Indy-type adventures with them. I usually made a small treasure map for Action J. and we'd have them run into all sorts of trouble trying to find the treasure.
I guess that's part of the reason I love the Indy films so much. They remind me of the adventures we used to dream up in the backyard.
Anybody else here ever have an Action Jackson doll?
