Conan Vs. Thuggee

Who would win in a fight between Conan and the Giant Thuggee? This may sound like a wishful match-up, but it's already happened! Flipping through an old movie book the other day, I saw a scene from Conan the Destroyer where Conan is fighting the giant Man-ape. The caption mentioned Arnold's name and also the Man-ape's- Pat Roach! This may be old news, but I never knew that was him! He actually snagged two pretty big parts for himself, playing the Man-ape and also the wizard in the film, Thoth-Amon, (who was one of Conan's biggest foes in the books).

Intrigued, I checked Pat's other films and was surprised to learn that he was also in Red Sonja and Kull the Conqueror, (he must have been a fan of Robert E. Howard). I also didn't know, (although it didn't surprise me), that he was General Kael in Willow. Mr. Roach, you continue to find ways to entertain us all.
