I think that there's a stronger market for another Indy film than there is for The Mummy 2. Sure, The Mummy took in about $300 million (according to Cinescape), but Indy's got a much bigger and no doubt much more loyal audience. And made more money than The Mummy.

That's my humble opinion anyway :)
