Since `Raiders' is on the AFI list of important American films, be assured there is a clean, pristine print of it somewhere...it's not like 25 years from now it will be lost forever. As for a theatrical re-release, who knows. It happened with `The Wizard of Oz.'
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe one of the mandates of the AFI is to ensure certain films are never lost, and in addition to `Raiders' I think `Star Wars,' `American Grafitti' and `ET' are in their vaults.
