Hi Dan,
The sweat band is made out of leather, with the Indiana Jones logo in gold on it, and it does have a satin lining, kind of a peach color.
Hmmmm I never thought about the pear-shaped crown. Did the original Indy hat have a creased crown? This one has a pear shape, but I think I like this kind better anyway.
