good Indy novel?

Hi all,

I've always been a huge Indy (film) fan and am considering picking up a novel or two. I find that with many liscensed properties (Star Wars etc...) I tend to take only the movies as "cannon" but enjoy novels as a means of expanding things a little, without getting out of hand.
(kinda like YIJC)

So with that in mind, any suggestions on where to start?
