: : Hi:
: : Does anyone know if there is any problems importing a David Morgan whip into Canada? I'm just curious because it seems it could be considered a weapon and also there may be special laws regarding the type of hide it is made from.
: : You think you have it bad my American friends - consider it will cost me $760 Canadian to get one!
: : Cheers,
: : Sean
: Hey. $760? You are a true Indyfan! Anyhow, when I ordered my
: bullwhip from a latigo dealer in Mexico, he reminded me to check with
: my local authorities on any laws about bullwhips. So I called the York
: County Sheriff's office to inquire about the legality of bullwhips, and
: the deputy who took my call said (and I quote) "I dunno." He then
: asked the guy next to him about his thoughts on the bullwhip issue.
: The deputy next to him said (another quote) "Sounds okay to me."
: Needless to say, I now own a bullwhip, and since no local authorities
: have hauled me in yet (at least not on any bullwhip charges), I hope
: that they're legal in my district. You may want to call your local police
: department. I hope they're at least more competent than my local
: police department. Just my two cents.

: p.s. In answer to your question, I dunno.
I just returned from a family vacation to Disneyland. I wanted to get a picture of me and my kids in front of the truck at the entrance to the Indiana Jones Adventure, dressed in full Indiana Jones regalia – much to my wife’s’ embarrassment.
Nobody even batted an eye when I brought a 10-foot bullwhip through the check stations and carried it on to the airplane!
Go figure…
