Krede,
You're absolutely right about the pages looking a bit too new. I've actually been using coffee for my later ones, but my first one I used, I swear, Dr. Pepper to stain them. But it just didn't soak into the paper that well. I guess eventually everyone who tries to make one of the things comes to the conclusion that coffee is the best material for turing paper yellow. I should have figured that out from watching denture cleaner commercials!
: : : I see that there's been some discussion about creating a kind of "information base" for people wanting to create Grail Diaries. Well, I sorta have something like that up on the web at:
: : : http://members.tripod.com/Mike_Danger/Grail/grailad.html
: : : My site talks about how I made my own Grail Diary. Take a look!

: : ARKY!
: : You are so talented and resourceful! Lucasfilm is probably jealous that it was too late to hire you to do the Grail Diary just after they found someone else! :( SUPERIOR WORK! What is the cost for one of those diaries? I have seen Henry's journal on auctions, etc. for WAY to much $$ that don't look HALF-- make that a QUARTER-as good as yours! I would love to get information since I am an artist and would LOVE to get an "Indy artfact" with some art in it. I am VERY interested! PLEASE drop a line!!
: : Adventurously, in art (I couldn't help doing this alliteration!)

: Outstanding work on the grail diaries! They are really brilliant,
: I´ve made one too, much the same way you made yours. I noticed however
: that the pages look a little too new. In order to make the pages look old
: I soaked them in coffee, they obtain that yellow wrinkled look after they´ve dried.
: You might want to do this before you write anything on the paper,
: just a piece of advice. Otherwise they are perfect!
: better than mine actually.
: best,
