Of all the guys who were actually in contention for the role I think Nick Nolte is the only one who could've been a great Indy. I think he could even have been better than Harrison. He's got a very dangerous quality that would have made him a fierce Indy. When Nick used that gravelly voice in the bar in Nepal and told Toht to let Marion go, Toht would have dropped dead on the spot.
