: :I am considering purchasing a Wested jacket and I was hoping any of you who already own one could help me out. Are the pre-distressed jackets crafted from a different type of hide than the jackets with the "new" finish? Also, does anyone know how much longer the cut of the ToD jacket is than the other two jackets? Thirdly, does anyone have a preference in regards to the lining?
: :Thanks,

Hello, Dienekes! I can only surmise what I've read to date that the distressed version starts out with a heavier skin before weathering. That's what I'm gathering from reading the posts of those who have them in hand. As to the lining, I can reply to that personally as mine has the cotton lining, my personal choice for warm weather areas. The cotton breathes more than the silk and therefore doesn't seem to allow as much heat build up inside the jacket, though the silk lined version would be much easier to put on and take off. Regards.
