I just finished reading Chris Columbus' draft for Indy 3, dated 1985. The influence of Temple of Doom and it's location and humor are very present throughout the script. It's not a bad read, but I can see why Lucas and company decided to pass on the Monkey King idea. I'll see if i can get a synopsis up soon.
