: Just wondering if anyone has had any problems with their pre-distressed Wested jacket. Is it more prone to tears or water damage? Stuff like that. I'll be ordering one in November (my wifes buying me one for Christmas) and have heard good and bad things about the pre-distressed version.
: Thanks in advance.

Mine is holding up very well. I treated it with Pecard Dressing (from David Morgan www.davidmorgan.com) twice in the first two weeks I had it. I've then treated it every couple of months thereafter. It has remained nice and dark brown with a light sheen, and has not lost any excessive finish that I can note other then in the high wear areas like seams, etc. It looks great.

According to the folks at Wested, the hide is more durable and will last longer then the skin. Like any other $300 leather jacket, you need to take care of it.

Call the folks at Wested - they are very helpful.

Cheers!

Patterson
